After growing from a son to a father, perhaps because we have had more or less similar experiences, we always unconsciously feel immersed in such movies with more father and son scenes.
Through a child's view of his father, he can often be judged at which stage of his growth: if you think your father is omnipotent, you are still a child; if you see his father's incompetence, you have grown up; if you understand his father's incompetence, you will become mature.
These days, I've been watching Hirokazu-eda's "The Speed of Walking", and I always think of his "Walking" and "Like Father Like Son". He made me feel that good works can be roughly divided into two types: one is Resonate; another is to provoke thinking. From my point of view, The Bicycle Thief belongs to the former.
