A bike that holds hope

Representative of the Italian Neorealism genre. Use the most lively pictures, the most lively expressions, and the most lively language to hit reality directly. The era of struggling to survive. A simple movie so it has become a classic under the grinding of time.
The pressure of life is flat, romantic and flat. All that time is just enough time to think about how to make ends meet. Antonio managed to get a job posting posters, at the cost of his only possessions in exchange for a bicycle necessary for work. The car carries the future of the family and is cherished. So the theft of the car triggers the disillusionment of the future. Antonio and his son Bruno were running around the streets looking for bikes. Even driven by desperation, he went to steal the car in anger. The expression without force seems to be more profound. The tightened chin, with pain in the grim, anxious, desperate, blank eyes, conveys more tension than the body.
The unspeakable pain is the deepest pain. Disillusionment with the future has left him no time to express his emotions and body language. After he mistakenly thought his son fell into the river, his tense emotions came to an extreme. Antonio finally indulged his emotions and took his son to a luxurious snack, even if the little money left would not allow such indulgence. But "to live, everything is fine". To live is everything. It was also at this moment that Antonio broke free from the pressures of life.
This is reality. Not Antonio's reality. It's the suffering of people living in that moment. Such pain cannot be expressed in chattering words. People are just suffering.
