Untimely

I suddenly remembered this older movie because of the popularity of Avatar.

The script of the film is unexpectedly excellent, with a similar background, but it is much stronger than the Avatar who looks to the bottom at a glance. It's a pity that the audience in 2001 is obviously not so used to so many computer stunts, and they don't like completely virtual movie characters.
Nine years later, Avatar, on the one hand, has advanced to a very high level of technology. On the other hand, the modeling of simulated characters has been based on real actors, which successfully avoided embarrassment and was highly praised.

Bad time?

For the excellent story of the film, it is still worth watching.

A milestone in the history of animation. I remember watching it for the first time in 2001 before I decided it wasn't a live-action movie. Of course, it seems a little incredible from the perspective of 18 years later, but at that time, I really never saw such an amazing animation. Classics are linked to the times. Just like looking at the generation of "The Legend of Sword and Fairy" with the current eyes, it is almost unattractive, but it is an eternal classic. The film is the same. Give five stars.

The milestone production does not waste space. The world view is still astonishing and terrifying in the traditional Japanese style—desperation carries hope; the ending is the heroic view of Hollywood in the United States—in order to save the world, I beg you to take me in. The fate of mankind depends on the annihilation of our team in exchange for something. Can't keep up with this script...

    Grey: I love you.

  • [Neil and Ryan tamper with an elevator with passengers Grey and Aki]

Jane Proudfoot: What do you think you're doing?

Neil: We're just gonna stall them for a little while... Hey, don't look at me, it was HIS idea.

Jane Proudfoot: This was YOUR idea?

Ryan: We're just helping the Captain out a little. Have you seen the way he looks at her?

Neil: Yeah, Jane, where's your sense of romance?
