Write a short review something that can't be put down

The following are all personal opinions.

Judging from the choice of English name and the content of the movie, the name may still be called "Memories of a Murder".

Although it refers to some suspense movies, the movie itself does not seek to solve the case or give the director's answer (in some places, the director is encouraging multiple interpretations - reminiscent of zodiac), but only presents the police and media at that time in detail. , the state of all aspects of society.

I personally still like this presentation, even if it reduces the dramatic tension of this work to some extent. Several female characters are handled very well, and at the same time, through some details, it reflects the way of thinking of men who objectify women, which is almost in-depth. For example, in the section where the policewoman proposed a piece of music, the police humiliated a plain-looking female student. It didn't cover much, but it was on point. As well as social environment, alerts, students, etc.

Many Chinese people watched Ping Ping, and probably felt that the film did not catch the murderer, and it was a cloud of fog. But guesswork, for South Koreans, the reenactment of that period is no less than the case itself.

So I can probably understand why the director's Hollywood work (seen in Snow Country) is a bit unsatisfactory. The Hollywood style is too straightforward, which is not suitable for the subtle and charming style of the Orientals.

All in all, I quite like it.
