What is UNBROKEN?

A lot of people say this drama is bland and just pure abuse, yes, what words do they use to describe "long" and "boring". But look at the title, it's called unbroken, and it's just so many clips, one after the other, that show Zamperini's unbroken completely and utterly. You can deeply feel the torment Zamperini was subjected to at the time, both mentally and physically. It's really successfully portrayed in the movie, as long as you feel it with your heart, you can feel the struggle of the characters.
So why do so many people think this movie is inferior?
1. Indeed, this is not a very exciting popcorn blockbuster. The long description of abuse, without the protagonist's counterattack, the Allied planes flew over and ended the life of the concentration camp. It seems that there is no bright spot. But that's what happened to Zamperini. In fact, the highlight is his indestructibility, but it is obvious that everyone's taste has been brought to the "blockbuster" and "intense battle scenes", and the movie has been completely "entertained". The film has changed its taste, has no artistic element, no connotation, only entertainment, is this feasible? In the end, the movie left us with a deeper shock to the soul, rather than a movie that was forgotten after watching it.
2. A lot of people say the movie doesn't focus on forgiveness. Such an open ending leaves us more room for thinking. What made Zamperini let go of his resentment? Obviously, it's belief. This brings up a new question, how did he get changed by faith? Judging from this shoe, the movie left us with an aftertaste ending.
3. Everyone blames Angelina Jolie. But I thought, what if you guys didn't know she was directed by Angelina Jolie? Everyone seems to be looking at her with a little prejudice, thinking that she can't be beautiful and talented, which is naked jealousy. The views on many things reflected in the movie can show the director's intentions. Please ask yourself after watching the movie if you are biased because of this.
4. Some people say that Juvenile Pie can be seen from the movie. I just want to say that this is the real experience of Zamperini, and this clip is very convincing to tell us that he is indestructible. If you still think that you are plagiarizing Pi, I can only say that you are really superficial. .
To sum up, this is a movie worth recommending, of course, the premise is that you can put aside your prejudice, feel the true connotation of the movie with your heart, and appreciate its charm. If you think this movie is not as good as the so-called variety movies such as the Run Bar Brothers in the same period, then please forget this article!

This movie is a prime example of the director's uselessness and the helplessness of the Coen brothers.

The Olympians' tragic World War II career, all kinds of tragic abuses, and then the war ended suddenly, and suddenly forgiveness everywhere. The Coen brothers' script was spoiled by Jolie, but aside from the director's quirky direction, the hardware is excellent. The best part of the black humor restoration is only rafting at sea

  • Phil: Remember that story in LIFE magazine? about Eddie Richenbacker? Him and his crew ran out of fuel over the Pacific and were drifting in a raft for twenty-four days... twenty-four days.

Louis Zamperini: They made it, right?

Phil: Yeah... most of them lost their minds, but they made it.

Lambert: You hit this one, drinks are on me.

Louis Zamperini: I ain't going to a bar with you, handsome. You confuse all the broads.
