Angel Vengeance

"Hard Candy". The New Year's card rewarded to myself on the first day of the new year. Maybe treat yourself better and watch a less depressing movie. But I don't know what else to do in the fickle holiday season other than to calm myself down. This kind of meticulous film resonates at least somewhat for this distressed self.
A movie with a pretty high IQ. It is quite clever, using very clean and even empty shots to describe the revenge process of a 14-year-old girl who tortured and killed a man 18 years older than her, including the castration process without a trace of blood. Even smarter, the motive for revenge and the truth are revealed very veiled at the last minute, before the audience understands: this girl also tortured and killed another suspect before that; both men are pedophiles and murderers; they The girl who killed was the girl's friend. With just three or two lines of dialogue, the sympathy for the man who was suffering and twisted before has been turned into hatred. There is nothing to say about such a director except admiration. The plot is quite rigorous. The man goes from seduction to bewilderment to persuasion to anger to pain to despair to self-reflection to re-understanding himself. The girl uses a simple psychological attack to make a guilty man begin to reflect that he is indeed sinful, aggressive but so calm. The use of colors is wonderful, pure red and blue, black and white, cool and warm, which seems to be a metaphor for the girl's complex and contradictory dual personality. The clues are very concealed. After watching the whole film and then fast-forwarding, I found that the motive for revenge had been foreshadowed at the beginning of the film, but it was difficult to find.
About the subject. A guilty man was stripped of his dignified outer layers by others, and he finally realized that his sins can only be washed away by death; an extremely smart girl made two men lose all dignity and even the right to live for revenge, the last sentence " or not" reveals that she will also not save their reputation for them, and she will accept a lifetime of self-blame. People are all sinful, but some people do what they want without knowing it, and some people know it but they do it. Ethics are completely subverted in the trial and the trial, the punishment of women against men, and the revenge of children against adults. The director's ethical inclination still exists, the hero said when he was free: You are right. You are right, Hayley. Thank you. Thank you. This is me. This is who I am. Thank you. Thank you for helping me see it. And his positioning of girls is: "I am every little girl, you ever watched! Touched! Hurt! Screwed! Killed!" And I disagree, at least partially.
The last reason that made me insane: I was stunned when the ending song sounded, it was the first song of "Silent Words": "Elephant Woman". Whether it's coincidence or fate, this movie is, in a sense, a ritual for me, although it ends without announcing the ending.
In any case, whether you want to watch the castration process see Lolita killing adults or analyze ethical boundaries, highly recommended.
