It may be a very simple matter to choose whether to watch or not to watch. Some movies lose interest after watching the first episode; some movies give up after watching N seasons and N episodes.
When I was watching SG1 and SGA, I occasionally searched for this drama, and after the next episode, I skipped watching it, and felt that IT IS NOT MY TEA, so I put it aside.
After that, I saw the evaluation of this drama again and again, and another episode, but I still didn't have much interest in it.
Finally, at the end of SG1 and between SGA's waiting for the new season, I finally decided to take a full look at what this drama is all about.
Finished three seasons in one go.
Finished the first season...
(I don't like this drama very much.)
Finished the second season...
(I don't really like this drama, should I watch it? At least Be worthy of my hard drive, it's already down, at least watch it...) I
finished watching the third season...
(OK, when will I be able to see the fourth season?)
Regardless of this The positioning of this drama is hard or soft, in short, you can see all the elements that appear in American dramas: adventure, technology, mythology, religion, war, philosophy, law, conspiracy, courage, love, friendship... I can't list them all Every key word, in short, the show is trying to say a lot of things -- and it does, so successfully, so unobtrusively, so lightly that you barely realize it. There is no need to go to the extravagant and exquisite production and the performance of the actors, this play has been successful enough.
However, I must admit that I never really liked this drama, no matter how hard I tried. I have no intention to pick out any bugs and unreasonable things in the details. Years of watching American TV shows have taught me not to waste time on self-torture. What I don't like is the values that the whole show is trying to convey -- pure, American values.
Of course, this is a pure American drama, and the American values expressed are justifiable. In other words, every American drama is doing this kind of thing. I do not deny that today's United States has its advanced social system and legal framework, but I believe that in an era of using FTL technology, people's understanding of law and freedom has not yet reached the standard of modern United States, it is really difficult .
Maybe it's my narrow-mindedness and misunderstanding. This is just my personal opinion, and I don't force approval or endorsement. It's really interesting to watch an American drama like this.
