I have always disliked the World War II movies made by Japan, and I was a little bit conflicted. When I saw Japan filming the Tokyo Air Raid and Iwo Jima, I wondered in my heart why they only made movies about the US attacking Japan, not Japan's invasion of China, or Japan's sneak attack on Pearl Harbor. The movie only shoots the defense war, not the aggression war. If they film the whole history, it will be regarded as the real face of that war. But I still don't know what kind of mood I was in when I watched war movies that I didn't watch very much.
The biggest impression of Iwo Jima's letter is the subversion of the samurai spirit. When I was a child, the biggest impression of the Japanese soldiers was that if they lost a battle, they would kill themselves by cutting their belly with a knife. I have always been speechless about this. So worthy of admiration is the lack of attention to human life. Although it is said that people should have solar terms, I admire those who survived stubbornly under the torture of the enemy. Although the spirit of Bushido reflects responsibility for their behavior, there are many kinds of responsibilities. People who hate suicide the most feel very cowardly. If they lose, they commit suicide.
They don't even dare admit failure. Life is the most important thing. It’s okay to commit suicide in one’s solar terms. Watching them commit suicide with a grenade is a big fire. It’s better to die with the enemy than to commit suicide with a grenade. I believe suicide is giving up on oneself. I believe there is no hope, and I ended my life cowardly. Then watching NINO stumble and survive all the way, I feel that the person who chooses to survive in this situation is more worthy of recognition or more difficult than dying. Perseverance is right, and so is the handout festival, but suicide with a grenade is something only the Japanese can do. When I was watching it, I thought of the Tokyo Air Raid I watched before. The biggest impression of that movie was that Horikita said that I had been taught to believe in the emperor since I was a child, and I believed in the war launched by the emperor. At that time, I thought, maybe this was Japan's reflection on the war, but maybe the responsibility of the war was pushed to the emperor and the government at that time, and the people were just fooled.
As for the cruelty of the war reflected in the film, it is the same as in all war films. There is no war without cruelty, and peace is the best. I once saw a sea of fire in Tokyo, and when I saw the tragic battlefield of Iwo Jima, I thought that there must be many places in China at that time. I felt that they deserved it, and I felt that they were bad. After all, the war brought grief to everyone, not only the Chinese... The history of Japanese aggression against China in World War II should never be forgotten, but we should not hate all Japanese because of this. Not all people want war, just like not all Germans want to kill Jews. Just like not all Taiwanese support Taiwan's independence, it's just that those who started the war should never be forgiven. History should always offend people and be cast aside by them. But hatred can't solve any problem. I have always admired the United States during World War II. Japan attacked Pearl Harbor and threw two atomic bombs at it.
Although it is wrong to do so, it is the innocent people who suffer. But because of this, it accelerated the surrender of Japan, so that they could no longer be arrogant, and it let them know the horror of the war. There's nothing they can do, even if they hate America. I have always admired China during World War II. Even though it was very difficult, it stubbornly drove the invaders out. While hating a defeated country like Japan, I think I should be more proud of my own country. I have been hearing people say that Japan is eyeing China even now, saying that Japan is a country with bad intentions and wants to boycott Japanese products and so on, but I have been thinking, now China is getting stronger day by day, I hope China will always be Continue to be strong, so strong that no matter how much Japan wants to attack China, so strong that as long as Japan dares to touch a hair in China, China can tear off a piece of his skin. Only when I am strong can there be true peace.
