In fact, don't get too caught up in the question of foreigners acting as monks. This film is actually about the oriental culture in the eyes of foreigners, and it's definitely different from our perception.
After watching the film, I have a new understanding, which I didn't have when watching the animation before: Huozong is like an American, Tuzong is like a Chinese, Suizong is like a Nordic person, and Qi Zong is like a Tibetan lama. It just feels like it, don't take the right seat, don't connect with politics and reality.
Looking forward to the sequel, I hope the director can make better and better.
