Compared with ordinary cartoons, this film can be called a heroic epic with a grand structure, serious theme and magnificent imagination. Although the protagonist of the film is still a child, there are many other characters in the film, which is by no means comparable to the world of ordinary cartoon children, forming a complete myth/science fiction world. The themes of the film are equally serious and even heavy, including human wars, the protagonist's pursuit of life across the world, and the struggle between man and nature. The world in the film is different from the real world, but has a mysterious and magical color, just like the later "Lord of the Rings" series, the imagination is bizarre and colorful. At the same time of magic, the film also has a sci-fi color that alludes to reality, especially the state in which man and nature both struggle and coexist, which is generally the same as the reality of our lives, and is more enlightening. This is why this film is called The reason for the "environmental" film.
The film reaches its climax at the end. Countless giant king insects stretch out their tentacles to heal Nausicaa, paving an endless field, shining with golden light, and Nausicaa slowly wakes up, as if returning to her child. In the prairie of time, pure music sounded, and the expectant crowd showed smiling faces. The ancient prophecy finally came true: "This person should be dressed in Tsing Yi and stand on the golden grassland...", and the harmony between man and nature has returned. This is probably the most beautiful scene in animation history.
