ASTONISHED

This is a good movie, no doubt, I wanted to give five stars until the last fifteen minutes, but when the mystery of "one plus one equals one" was revealed, my whole person was not well, and I was shocked. Full of anger, I want to scold a series of foul words that start with F. After insomnia in the middle of the night, I finally calmed down and reviewed the whole movie. In fact, the boy's resentful eyes in the first shot seemed to imply this tragic ending. The director of the film also directed another "Arrival" that I like very much. As always, the master storyteller: after the mother died, she left a last wish, and asked a pair of children to find a father and brother they never knew, along with their daughter and son. Back in Lebanon, I walked through every important place my mother had been to, and the cruel stories like a documentary were presented one by one, gradually piecing together all the unimaginable tragic experiences of my mother in this country when she was young. The camera was full of blood. The truth... I once felt very sorry that my closest children were unable to tell it to me, and it was not until after my death that I had the courage to let them know the real me, a life controlled and driven by religious opposition. Until the staggering ending came, the mother fulfilled her religious vows, but the truth her children learned through this journey turned out to be a preconceived absurdity that they themselves could not change. Become this absurd protagonist, how will their lives continue! Could this be what my mother wanted for warmth? Can't understand, can't forgive! Finally, regarding religion, I have always thought that it is a belief to fight against the fear of life and time and to give life a realistic meaning. I never thought that it would become an excuse and tool for killing. The "religion" here for me is only being kind to others with equal respect. PS: This movie is almost impossible to watch if you know the truth in advance, so I try to only talk about feelings in the whole article.
