A typical American disaster film of the 1990s, unlike the past, only the protagonists did not survive in the end. This is what makes this film unique. Unsatisfactory life, poor fishing performance, twists and turns on the way, bad ice machine, and the ensuing storm has heralded the end. Perhaps it is the imperfect world that makes this perfect storm. Seeing this reminds me of "The Old Man and the Sea", and Hemingway's sentence: "the world is a fine place, and worth fighting for" The
last only love, the fishing boat slowly leaving the port, and dedicated to the people who have died at sea~ just shows how valuable it is to struggle for life! Perhaps there is no perfect storm, only the perfect struggle: for our cause, for love, for life, for this "beautiful" world!
