To be honest, after watching too many Terminator sequels, I have no hope for this new one, just because of the appeal of Uncle Schwarzenegger, just take a look at it, or even write it after watching the movie. When I read a movie, I didn't know the full name of the movie.
But, finally, saw another peak - the second peak of the Terminator series.
The background of the whole series need not go into details. The Terminator is a metaphor of the rapid advancement of science and technology today, a metaphor that human beings will be attacked by technology. Throughout the entire series of Terminator, there is no answer to the metaphor. In the end, is it a symbol of technology-Skynet exterminates mankind, or does mankind defeat the machines that have changed their minds?
The soul of the Terminator series is to explore the relationship between humans and robots. Human beings make use of constantly advancing technology - until the birth of robots for the convenience of human beings, and the robots that slowly evolve (evolve?) from self-consciousness are unwilling to be slaves to resist. Humans; it is robots who come to assassinate the future leaders of human beings, and it is also robots that humans send back to protect the future leaders of human beings. Perhaps, the relationship between humans and robots is just like loving and killing each other.
Of course, there is another soul in the series, "Chase and Kill".

Of course, as an upgraded human, persistence has become Grace's weakness. As a human being, as a female human being, this Terminator has a tender beauty that is rare in the previous Terminator series.
The emotional mobilization of the whole play is also due to the beauty of this tenderness, which reconciles the Terminator series all the way to the hard-line, hard-line skills to the point of no novelty. This is the power of the director.
Another new idea of human-machine relationship comes from the family of Uncle Schwarzenegger. Yes, you read that right, Uncle Schwarzenegger formed a family. "It's not the kind of physical relationship," Uncle said. On the eve of the decisive battle, the goodbye of the uncle and his family is also a beautiful scene of harmony between man and machine.
Such beauty of tenderness and harmony, coupled with the artistic language of the lens, the "chasing and killing scene" is also extraordinarily stylized and thrilling. What's more, the design of the action scene itself has certain new ideas. A plane crash and an underwater scene are very brilliant.
This completes the core content that the Terminator series strives to express, without losing any new ideas. It would not be an exaggeration to say that this Terminator is the second peak, right?

Mother Connor, a Terminator hunter, is always tough, hunting Terminators everywhere after losing her beloved son. Maybe once the hunt is successful, it will be reversed in the future.
JOHN, the leader of the future human war against Skynet (renamed Legion after the time and space is reversed), yes, also called John. Although the person being hunted was a powerful Mexican girl who was like the goddess of Thor, it was because of Grace's heart that she grew from Dany to JOHN. In the end, it was under the leadership of JOHN that the four worked together to defeat the Terminator.
Liquid villain, the whole show is cool.
Among the five characters, the most moving one is Grace, who is also portrayed a lot in the whole play. She deserves to be the heroine and even the protagonist of the whole play. Although it is a four-person villain, only Grace protects JOHN from beginning to end, and his mind is firm, but he is not like a stubborn machine like the previous Uncle Shi. Grace not only awakens the potential of JOHN (Dani), but finally sacrifices her own life - energy source - as the ultimate weapon to destroy the liquid villain. This also means that the Terminator series gives a foreshadowing of the metaphor, a solution for humans to fight robots.
When I wrote this article, I searched for the title of the film, called Terminator: Dark Fate. Why is it called darkness with such a good ending and such a good meaning? Either it was influenced by the dark trend, or the film was more profound, I didn't understand it.
