Is it an unpopular movie? 6.6 is somewhat low

First of all, the biggest problem with this film for me is the lengthy narration that follows. Not only did I miss a few words, but it also interrupted my thinking. It doesn't matter if you don't want to narrate later, most of the audience can figure it out on their own. It's good to speak in the language of the lens. Secondly, the plot of this film is really cliché. When I saw the heroine in a car accident, I thought, shouldn't I be charged by a defibrillator? And then back to normal? It turned out to be like this... But it's good for me, because after watching a lot of movies, I sometimes don't want to watch "blockbusters" with complicated and reversed plots.

Overall, this film is a romance film with a "sci-fi" shell. Many people will be dissatisfied with the "sci-fi" elements in it. I think it's pretty good, because I'm just looking at the love elements in it. , the sci-fi element is just a little bit of seasoning. A lot of people seem to despise purely romantic romance films, but I found myself watching such simpler romance films the least. Many films are mixed with many other elements, which is not to say that this is not good, but sometimes people just want to watch pure love films. So for me the sci-fi element here is completely negligible hahaha just suits me

The female protagonist's face is very attractive, the male protagonist's words are not my thing, but the male protagonist's father was quite handsome when he was young! The setting of the heroine is really charming, proficient in several foreign languages, and knowledgeable. Such a powerful person yearns to become a normal person for the sake of a loved one. Many people will definitely not understand, but it is normal. But I don't think that's a reason to give one star. And many comments define girls as this, which is not desirable. In my opinion this choice is because of what everyone desires and has nothing to do with gender.

If everyone can live forever, everyone must have their own choices. But for the heroine, she just longs for love and doesn't want to be lonely and alone. I think this is human nature, and the horror of loneliness must not be underestimated. So to me, this is not a silly white sweet, the heroine longs for love, so she would rather not live long to pursue love, this is her choice. Respect other people's choices, and even understand others, this is empathy, and it is also the reason why watching movies makes people feel empathy!

In this era, many people think it is stupid to do something for love, but I think the world is beautiful when it is diverse. There are people who like a person's free and unfettered life, and there are people who pursue life with their lover. I think whichever one you choose is mainly what you like.

All in all, if you want to watch a sci-fi movie, don't watch this one. If you want to watch immortality, you better not. But you just want to watch European and American romance movies, I think this movie is still worth watching.

The Age of Adaline quotes

  • Adaline Bowman: Why're you doing this?

    Tony: Come again?

Adaline Bowman: You're a smart kid. Forgery is a felony. 250 thousand dollar fine, six years in jail.

    Tony: Shit, you're a cop?

Adaline Bowman: [snorts] No, I'm about as far from law enforcement as you can get. I just hate to see wasted potential, Jeff.

    Tony: Tony, it's Tony.

Adaline Bowman: The autographed baseballs in your bedroom. Made out to Jeff. Don't get sloppy. It's the little things that trip you up.

  • Adaline Bowman: I don't think I'll ever understand why so few people care about history.

Ellis Jones: The future has its charm, too. We could talk about our ours.

    Adaline Bowman: Ellis...

Ellis Jones: Not the distant future - talk about this weekend.
