The vast ancient battlefields, barbarous humans, and hearty war scenes make people feel the urge to lick blood.
And the most successful part of this film is the description of Conan before he grew up.
Conan was born in the flames of war, and cut off the heads of five barbarians alone at a time, causing him to shock the tribe. And my favorite place in this movie is the look in Conan's eyes when he came back with his head:
full of confidence, full of confidence.
It's a pity that this movie can't be described as anticlimactic.
There are no highlights in the subsequent plot, nothing more than the same story of revenge of the hero and the return of a beautiful woman.
When Conan grew up, I disliked him as soon as he showed up. I didn't like his pectoral muscles. I was too inclined towards modern aesthetics. This is not a muscle trained in the flames of war, this is a product from the gym. And I don’t like this actor either. There are wildness, but I always feel that he can only perform wildness, and nothing else.
In the later plots, it is nothing more than heroes saving the beauty, beauty in love, hero revenge, and so on, nothing to tell.
However, I like its music, its architecture and the scenes in the film. Very beautiful, very temperamental, it can be seen that the director has put a lot of thought into it. But it was defeated by the plot. Maybe by changing the script and a proper actor, this movie can be improved by several grades. The Conan series is not without good materials, there is no doubt about this.
In addition, I am not partial to personal heroism. I like films like "Gladiator" and "Kings of Heaven". I am attracted by their epic temperament. In contrast to "Spider-Man", "Batman" and the like, I just went to watch their stunts or celebrities, not the same. The magnificent scenes, the majestic music, the beautiful and magnificent buildings, the powerful characters, the unconventional plots and deep-seated ideas are what I am after.
