Typical of Western epic stories

Generally speaking, the film belongs to the epic style of the West, from the scene where the carnival begins to the form of the battle with the monster in the back. What impresses me more is that the Western experience of father and son seems to be different from that of the East. If it is an Eastern screenwriter, would it be more exaggerated for the father and son relationship? After all, part of that demon came from his father. And the Banshee's feelings for children seem to be somewhat inexplicable (perhaps this is the difference between monsters and people), it seems that the purpose of giving birth to a child is to fight against his father. The queen is a very positive female character in the film, too positive to be a little indifferent.

Beowulf quotes

  • Unferth: Good night, Beowulf. Watch out for sea monsters. I'm sure your imagination must be teeming with them.

  • Yrsa: They say he ripped the monster's limb off with his bare hands.

Gitte: [giggles] I wonder if Beowulf's strength is only in his arms, or in his legs as well... all three of them

    [both giggle]

Wealthow: Well, after the feast tonight I'm sure you can find out, Gitte.

Gitte: Me? It's not me he wants, my queen.
