In the middle, it is provided that Hoffman and John have committed every crime together. It stands to reason that if Amanda is a big sister, Hoffman should be second, and Lawrence can only shoot third. But in the first part, there is a middle-class fat pig-like fat man who died in a barbed wire cage. This was completed by Hoffman and John from beginning to end, and it appeared in Lawrence in the secret room to explain what he knew. The jigsaw case, which means that this case was before Lawrence was trapped in the secret room.
So how did the puzzle pattern on the fat pig come from? From the seventh reveal, it should be the artwork of Dr. Lawrence's scalpel. So here I have to say a bit far-fetched, John’s knife skills are also good, he did it himself, but the clue in the seventh part is a bit embarrassing, because the two policemen in the sixth part found out the difference in the pattern of the puzzle. In Hoffman's copycat case, if the puzzle pattern was not always made by Dr. Lawrence, there would be several sources, and it would not be a reason to lock Hoffman. Maybe it's too rigorous. It's a bit nitpicking. After all, this is a film that has been shot continuously for 8 years.
