In the era when westerns and film noirs prevailed, this "Third Man" showed the characteristics of the times, a mixture of two types.
1. The characters of the Western movie set
a cowboy/detective who came to the wild land/civilization (his play character is the detective), in order to rescue the trapped, the fame of herdsmen/friends (later became the beloved white girl ), perform a series of dangerous activities, and ultimately win the heart of a kind-hearted prostitute/friend-lover.
2. Horror and suspenseful photography lighting
Classic Hollywood lighting and film noir composition can be seen everywhere in the movie.
