unexpected encounter

Saw a castrated version of Beowulf on local TV last night before going to bed, meant to take a peek and sleep. I didn't expect much, and I haven't heard this movie. But after reading it, I came to check the relevant information the next morning. What I want to say is that I didn't pay much attention to the picture, but the plot, and what the director wanted to express to the audience behind the plot is worth recalling. (Okay, I admit that it's a bit of connotation now that it's a movie. Besides, I'm a heroic epic controller)

Beowulf quotes

  • Unferth: Good night, Beowulf. Watch out for sea monsters. I'm sure your imagination must be teeming with them.

  • Yrsa: They say he ripped the monster's limb off with his bare hands.

Gitte: [giggles] I wonder if Beowulf's strength is only in his arms, or in his legs as well... all three of them

    [both giggle]

Wealthow: Well, after the feast tonight I'm sure you can find out, Gitte.

Gitte: Me? It's not me he wants, my queen.
