This is a story of an unjust case being rectified. After fifteen years, Gary's father died of illness in prison, and the unjust case was noticed by a lawyer, which aroused indignation in the crowd, and was only then prosecuted. justice.
In the name of father, the name of the movie stems from Gary's claim of innocence in his father's name after his release from prison.
The movie was over, but I wasn't as excited as I imagined. Yes, this story made people feel sorry and gratified for Gary's story, but it left me more worried that there are still unjust cases in the world.
I deliberately searched for unjust cases in modern China, such as Nie Shubin, Zhang Gaoping, Zhang Hui's uncle and nephew, She Xianglin, Li Huailiang, etc. These names are well known to the public because of media exposure in recent years, and they have attracted attention because of their pacification. However, after analyzing 20 typical unjust cases, Professor Chen Yongsheng of Peking University Law School came to the conclusion that almost all the wronged persons or their family members filed complaints, but not even a single case was the judicial organ voluntarily initiated relief because of the parties’ complaints. procedural. He found that 20 unjust cases were corrected due to extremely accidental factors, of which 17 were due to the discovery of the real culprit, and the other 3 were due to the "resurrection" of the victim. After the real murderer of Zhang's uncle and nephew's case emerged, the inmates in the same prison laughed and said that they "won the lottery". If the ray of hope for the wronged rests on the odds of winning the lottery, a judiciary that should be serious is reduced to recreational gambling.
Unjust cases are probably inevitable, but its inevitability does not mean that people can do nothing to improve the current system. In addition to continuing to improve the conviction process, it is more important to establish a sound correction mechanism.
Turning a wrongful case into a movie has inspired countless people around the world. As the common people of Lebanon, the scary thing is not to encounter unfair and injustice, but to face the submission and acceptance of government agencies or powerful forces.
Any small effort can make the world a little bit better, even a little bit.

I am afraid that anyone who has seen the movie knows that at the beginning of the movie and even in the first few years after he was imprisoned, Gary was still a young man who had nothing to do, was a fool, and had a serious rebellious mentality towards his father. Before he was imprisoned, he was stealing chickens and dogs all day long and not doing business, "proving himself to be a bad man". After he was imprisoned, he was still addicted to gathering drugs with his friends in prison and drowning in the psychedelic effects of LSD. In his words, it all stems from the fact that the father always only sees his mistakes, and always follows him when he makes a mistake.
Two scenes are still fresh in my memory: one is my father because when he was just imprisoned, he hysterically accused his father, accusing him of the suppressed roar in his heart that he had not spoken since he was a child. His father said: "It's a shock." But still Holding Gary, stroking his head, and comfortingly said, "Relax, just relax." Another is that when his father didn't want to talk to him, he was willing to apologize to his father and promised to never touch drugs again.
There is a saying that "Ben has a chance to be forgiven." We can clearly see the change in Gary's heart, which is the silent guardian of father's love, and the emergence of inner purity. All of his previous actions may have been ignorance and stealing, but there was absolutely no viciousness in his eyes that could set off a bomb and take the lives of innocent people. This multi-faceted character is the unique feature of the characters in the movie.
As a supporter of "tolerant, kind, and good people", I still believe that people are more easily moved by a father-like generosity, calm, and persistent wisdom, rather than being as fierce and vicious as a real murderer.

Because "it's easy to attract attention with exaggerated performances, but it's the hardest thing to keep a low profile and still have people follow silently."

Finally, I still want to repeat a paragraph. After the news of Gary's father's death, Gary's death Friends in prison, even unfamiliar strangers, threw burning papers from the prison windows. The flame illuminates the world outside the prison and the hope of the heart.
This is the part that moved me the most in the whole film. The light that radiates from the subtleties of human nature is worth remembering.
