The mise-en-scene by David Yates is superb. The novel description of Taishan makes the audience who are familiar with the story of Taishan in the past still look forward to it. Samuel Jackson's performance is also his rare comedy performance of late. On the whole, it is fresher and more interesting than expected. Beautiful soundtrack
