I have to say this is the best scientific fiction movie I have ever seen for many years. Pure visual pleasure and a story making sense. It's so easy for such kind of movie to have a story which can not been completed. No single scene is wasted, no single appearance handled with carelessness. Even I heard about this movie multiple times before, mostly via channels such as BBC news, however they were talking about how or why Cara is in a Space film. I never paid attention particularly. It's really a surprise for me to realize how good this one is. It saved my day, my week. Strong recommendation!!

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets quotes

  • Sergeant Laureline: [tries freeing Valerian] I suppose since you asked for my hand, you should probably get yours back first.

Major Valerian: Is that a yes?

    Sergeant Laureline: Don't move!

  • Sergeant Laureline: [to the intimidated little Mül creature] Okay, let's have a look at you.

    [shakes her head]

Sergeant Laureline: Not a beat, tiger. Come on, don't be scared. I'll come through.

    [lifts it out]

Sergeant Laureline: Come on. Wow. You've got the most incredible eyes. Okay, you're a little scrappy, so why don't we get you a nice treatment so you can get your mojo back? Sound good? Come on.

    [puts him into device]

Sergeant Laureline: Some high-grade uranium, and you'll be good as new. Hang on, tiger.
