1. I don't want to judge him in a sarcastic tone

2. Always wanted to see this movie about him because of tim burton, because of Johnny depp, and more because of him.

His name is ED WOOD. Few people know his name, and even less people know his life. In the long film history, he is called The king of bad movies, but it is not out of slander or hatred, and most of the people who call him that way are not malicious. A lot of people picked up the guide tube because of him, as he did because of Orson Welles. TIM BURTON is probably the same. At the end of the film, the applause at the premiere of WOOD's "Plan 9 from Outer Space" is exactly what I think BURTON drummed up.

This is a movie about dreams. Yes, the movie is exactly his dream. He's a little guy, but he's thinking about doing what he dreams of -- making movies. He longed to be like Orson Welles, to be liked by his films. Like many people who hope to realize their dreams, he is also working tirelessly because of this. He is not a daydream dreamer, he is trying to get close to his dream. But what went wrong, his persistence and seriousness doomed his tragedy, and he never got the applause and cheers he wanted in his life.

He also questioned whether it was worth it. Orson Welles told him: Movies are worth fighting for in a lifetime. Why not photograph someone's dream in your lifetime. So he returned to the set, emotionally charged, and finished the film that later generations dubbed the "worst in history". Ironic, yet touching.

Maybe he really has no talent in movies, but he also won applause and cheers. He didn't get the success he deserved after working hard, but also those who were influenced by him liked him.
