No comparison doesn't hurt. After watching the Mad Men ad from next door, the plot, characters, and picture composition, isn't this show a little bit worse? Would you like to ask people who give high scores to have a reference value? Although the cast's acting skills and editing are good, don't you think that the whole film is very thin, and the look and feel is not so smooth and pleasant because of too many tricks and dazzling scenes? Questions are thrown for everyone to think about instead of giving high scores with the flow.
All in all, after watching the first season, my impression is That's it? and the foreshadowing of the first 6 episodes...why would I give so much expectati on? Go down to Nicole's Dogtown, which has better levels of outbursts and overall coherence.
