Documentary style

The picture of the whole film is inclined to the style of the documentary, which lacks the film flavor and graininess of the film, and the colors are not deliberately modified.
Maybe that's what the director needs, a different sense of realism than the movie. Even the previous long and boring introduction to the fire brigade, a documentary master without editing and processing is just so many boring and ng shots.
When I saw this film on satellite TV before when it was released in Hong Kong, it seemed to work well. The mms were all curled up in their seats in the cinema and screamed, so they were full of expectations. But the results seem a bit disappointing, and there is still no escape from the old plot and character settings: drug research, leaks, infections, more infections, and annihilation. Basically, the film crew guessed the ending when they entered the building. At the same time, it was a pity for the beautiful host... In
general, it is not bad that European movies can be made like this, but unfortunately I watched the dialogue in English. In the version, the dialogue is always a bit outside the movie, maybe it would be better to listen to the Spanish version. It's a must-see for horror movie fans.

REC quotes

  • Ángela: [to Pablo, before interviewing a fireman] If this is a pain in the ass, just cut, okay?

  • Álex: People think we run around, putting out fires but around 70% of the calls we get are for other types of services.

    Ángela: Like what?

Álex: For example, broken water mains, or pet rescue too. Even though it sounds cliché, it's true.
