The story didn't start off as fiery and interesting, so I was disappointed to follow director Proportion Wilder's lens. The climax of the story should be the climax after the heroine took the sleeping pills.
The contradictions and conflicts established by this story are nothing more than the opposition between sluggishness and integrity, the division between true love and vanity. Looking at this film with the nature of spiritual love from the current point of view, I prefer to go back to the breakout of a social prison in which money and power are paramount. So as an audience 50 years later, we still have to admire the director's ingenuity after all. It is so sharp that it breaks the concept of love under industrial civilization, and vows to return to a pure state of love. Although this state is a bit too romantic, we are fed up with the concept of love like crying in a BMW car, and it is not bad to have such a delicious bowl of chicken soup for the soul.
But we have to face the reality after all, maybe the days of stalking horses are not far away from me, I just hope that I can still not forget the original intention.
