Spiritual incarnation

Although this man is much older, he still has a good taste. The emotion in the eyes can go beyond words and penetrate the heart.

The setting of the storyline is also interesting. What's the point of a human body hiding in a dark home when all our words, actions and social lives are taken over by machines? The so-called conscious control is also so vulnerable. Contact between people is pale and feeble.

We don't need perfect avatars, we just need our true selves. Injury and aging, unavoidable but so real, is what it feels like to be alive.

The story uses a machine to disguise the real human body, which can arouse our psychological resistance; but in reality, the fake face to disguise the real human nature, why is it recognized by all beings?

The real, possibly selfish, hypocritical, ugly self hides beneath the surface of goodness, manipulating and deceiving. When can these spiritual incarnations be cancelled as well?

Surrogates quotes

  • Bobby: We just saved about a billion lives there.

  • Peters: That's far enough, Stone. I know who hired you to kill me. I hope my old partners at VSI paid you well. Did you feel any second of remorse when you found out you'd murdered an innocent boy?

Stone: Canter. I don't believe it. OK... How about you tell me something, doctor. Huh? What did you expect VSI to do? Just stand by while you tore down everything they built? You left us no choice but to take you out. You create this technology, change the world, and now you want to destroy it? So what? So you can take us backwards? So we can all live like dreads?

Peters: So we can live like human beings.

Stone: Really, doctor. You should learn how to live with your regrets.
