The only way to be happy is to love. We are born out of love, only by loving, your life will not pass by in a flash, and there will be no trace. In this film, there are no characters in the first 30 minutes. It is indeed as most people say, like the style of man and nature, National Geographic. But as the storyline unfolds, the film takes on color. In my opinion, this is a film about the impact of a family of origin. The father played by Pitt wants to express his love, but suffers from the wrong source, which causes Jack to dislike and resent him. The mother's surrender to the father again and again may be one of the reasons for Jack's more rebelliousness. I don't know if the interpretation is correct: maybe Jack in the film has some Oedipus complex, so when his mother, brother and father kiss you, his disgust and rebellion can be clearly seen, especially what he said to Pete. One sentence: she only love me. Towards the end of the film, adult Jack passes through various doors, one of which is in a dimly lit room, someone is holding a candle, lighting another candle, and suddenly thinks of " In the painting of St. Joseph the Carpenter, it was also on such a quiet night that the light of the gods descended, thus opening up another world. In the opening clip of Jack talking to his father on the phone, you can probably guess that Jack, who has experienced world affairs as an adult, reached a reconciliation with his father.
And Jack was looking back on his life on the empty street, and the picture finally returned to when Jack was an adult. He was indeed smiling. Perhaps at this moment he had reached a reconciliation with his young self.
Everyone comes to the world, perhaps to redeem themselves. In order to achieve the goal of redemption, we must first learn how to love and how to express love.
The requiem at the end is shocking.
