son of job

"Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? The morning stars sang together. Did all the sons of God rejoice?" The

movie uses verses 4 and 7 of Job 38 of the Bible as a start.

Job was God's most faithful servant, known for his piety and patience. The devil tried him and made him poor and sick; but in poverty he blessed God and cursed his own birthday. The true God praised Job twice to Satan on the grounds that he was "perfect and upright," "feared the true God," and "shunned evil."

What does the flame that keeps appearing from the beginning of the movie represent?

Maybe this is the beginning of it all.

Mothers tell us about love and kindness.

Father told us that survival of the fittest.

We wander as if in the vastness of our minds in meditation.

It was an unpredictable and majestic scene.

In the high-pitched opera and the supernatural version of the hymn.

Like a vast nebula. Volcano eruption. Cell division. Egg fertilization.

This is where?

Here is the end of time. Here is the origin of all things.

We saw that fire again and again.

A mother's favor is like the love and mercy in the hands of God.

Mother believes in God. But when she lost her own son, God was nowhere to be seen.

Director Malik asked through his mother's mouth, "Lord, why? Where the hell

are you?" The father wanted the children to understand that the strong eat the weak. Survival of the fittest. He prefers to believe in himself.

Just as he believed that his father's authority was sacred and inviolable in his eyes.

despite this. They are the most loyal believers of God.

In the eyes of director Terrence Malick, this family is the representative of mankind, more like the incarnation of Job. They are in line with the true God's praise for them:
"perfect and upright"
Job in the Bible once saved orphans, widows, and the poor. In the movie, children used to follow their mothers to water the prisoners who were about to be escorted.

The three "God-fearing"
children often follow their parents to church services. In the film, the priest speaks exactly what the Bible says about Job.

"Stay Away From Evil"
Teenager Jack fell in love with a teenage girl next door, and finally broke into her house one day while she was out and stole her pajamas. But then he ran to the river in remorse and threw his clothes into the river.
This is also like the description of Job in the Bible, "He was not attracted to the opposite sex."

The theme of the book of Job is suffering. It can also be said about how God treats human beings.

This may also be the question Malik wants to ask.

Jack's family experienced the same hardships that Job experienced. His parents lost their son, his father lost his job, and the whole family had to move out, losing the house where they lived for many years.

In the Bible, Job did not understand why all the disasters happened to him, because he had always been a kind and upright person. At last he mustered the courage to question God boldly.
, as in the movie through the mouth of the mother, through the mouth of Jack, through the mouth of the father constantly questioning God. God gave the answer majestic in the whirlwind. He asks Job a series of questions:

"Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? The morning stars sang together. Did all the sons of God cheer?" In the

film Jack finally meets his long-dead brother , and met his parents. The whole family is finally reunited on the quiet seaside where the rain has cleared up.

Accompanied by heavenly chants. The sky is gradually clearing up again. There seems to be an angel around everyone.

Despite all kinds of trials, human beings, as the sons of Job and the most faithful believers of God, finally received God's mercy and blessings.

The flames reappeared.

This is God's judgment and blessing.
