If this movie were put 20 years ago, it would have been an impressive disaster movie. The logic is clear and reasonable, the plot is simple and clear, the rhythm is intense, and the picture is full of blood. The characteristics of this film are in line with the characteristics of any good disaster film, and it also contains most of the elements that a disaster film should have.
Marvel movies, X-Men, and a series of hero movies, as well as many movies that rely on special effects and CG to eat, make Independence Day 2 less "excellent", but it needs to be understood that disaster movies are not dramas. It is enough to have enough missions, plots, stories to support the disaster.
As a disaster film, Independence Day 2 is not as good as the day after tomorrow, there are too many main characters, the characters are not full of emotions, and even the plot bugs. But Independence Day is not worthless, as a sequel to Independence Day, enough.
(Mengniu's advertisement placement is too hard, and it stunned me when I watched it. Relatively speaking, the placement of QQ is quite harmonious.)
(I don't want to discuss angelababy's acting skills...)
