"Not from tyranny, oppression or persecution. But from annihilation."
War is no longer because of tyranny, oppression or persecution, but because of extinction.
Thinking of this sentence now, I can still think of Federick Douglas who frequently resists tyranny of slavery in SAT reading,
and the root of Oppression is oppress, which is expressed by the positive reinforcement of op+press. The synonym is persecution, and per is negative. To strengthen, sec is the stem of slice.
The h in annihilation is silent, and it is always accompanied by genocide.

At that time, I had this Presidential speech in my phone, and I liked listening to it. Because I want to use them in my SAT essay someday. It's been five or six years since the days of preparing for the SAT. But the movie Independence Day became a memory that I have studied hard. I'm going to watch the second part again today, and it's totally aimed at me in my second year of high school who memorizes 300 words every day while holding a word book every day.
I don't care if the plot is good or not, stupid or not, I don't expect Will Smith to appear or not, I don't want to watch AB, I just want to see the high-spirited old driver, the president.
And the president turned out to be a hero again, delivering a prewar speech. I wanted to hear him say "today we celebrate the independence day" just because he was so handsome when he said it. But he just didn't say it. I am so sorry.
What does heroism in movies have to do with me? I just relive the single-mindedness that I had in high school. Years go by. Nostalgic but that.
