Film Notes 1: "Breakfast at Fantini"

I've known this book and film for a long time, and I've always wanted to watch it, but I haven't watched it. It wasn't until last night that I couldn't find a movie on my computer to watch it, and it was finally considered a "hanging" film. In my weird imagination, "Breakfast at Fantini" was somehow thought of as something like a political spy movie, you know, like "1984", "Animal Farm" (I don't know if this one has a movie eh, huh).
After reading it, I realized that it is far from imagination. This is a typical Hollywood romantic comedy, and of course, it is indispensable for the intoxicating love. Another highlight of this movie that people talk about is Audrey Hepburn. Many people think of Hepburn when they mention this movie. Hepburn is a little older. The innocence, elves, and beauty in "Roman Holiday" still exist, but there is more vicissitudes (perhaps the plot needs?) The face shape has also changed, and the temperament has also changed.
Needless to say, the plot is quite tacky. A woman who worships money is finally moved by an infatuated man and gives up her dream of chasing money. Everyone is happy. What can be added is the cat and the soundtrack "Moon River", the nameless cat is like a nameless girl wandering in the city of New York, which is full of money and money. They can be called Lei Mei or Holly. The girls who spend 50 yuan can let them go to the dressing room, and can their fate really be like the Hawley played by Hepburn, despite suffering and finally reap true love and happiness? This answer will slowly fade away with the tender and sad melody of "Moon River".

Breakfast at Tiffany's quotes

  • Holly Golightly: He's all right! Aren't you, cat? Poor cat! Poor slob! Poor slob without a name! The way I see it I haven't got the right to give him one. We don't belong to each other. We just took up one day by the river. I don't want to own anything until I find a place where me and things go together. I'm not sure where that is but I know what it is like. It's like Tiffany's.

Paul Varjak: Tiffany's? You mean the jewelry store?

Holly Golightly: That's right. I'm just CRAZY about Tiffany's!

  • Holly Golightly: I'm like cat here, a no-name slob. We belong to nobody and nobody belongs to us. We don't even belong to each other.
