It's not a matter of choice, it's a matter of personality

I really can't see what's wrong with Lisa. Maybe it was Susanna's candidness that woke her up. Maybe she lacked the courage to "face herself", but in fact, she has always been herself! She is jealous of them who are discharged from the hospital, and she is reluctant to leave Susanna, although everyone seems to think that it is obvious that Lisa's choice can immediately change her situation, but it is too difficult for her, Lisa understands the world as well as Susanna It's a hypocritical society that's stupid. The problem is that she can't endure everything and face it after knowing the truth. It seems to be a matter of choice, but it's actually a fate.

These are the two choices made by two personalities. No choice is better. Each bears his own choice. Don’t tell others what to do from your own perspective. Good intentions may be hurt for different personalities.

The nostalgic atmosphere is very strong. Although the subject matter is also a mental hospital, it is still very warm. As for the theme of the movie - finding oneself, there is no feeling.

70 Angelina Jolie is sturdy. The story of the film is not strong, and the loose narrative is very boring when it lacks interest. Winona Ryder grew up in a lunatic asylum and found herself, and the experience during this period seemed not strong enough to make people enlightenment. Whether she is confused or marginal personality is just a cover in the film, she herself criticizes everything around her with the most sober attitude.

Girl, Interrupted quotes

  • Lisa: [to Daisy] Help me understand, Dais 'cause, I thought you didn't do Valium. Tell me how this safety net is working for you. Tell me that you don't take that blade and drag it across your skin and pray for the courage to press down. Tell me how your *daddy* helps you cope with that. Illuminate me.

    Daisy: My father loves me.

Lisa: I bet with every inch of his manhood.

  • Lisa: Hey Torch, what'a doin?

    Polly: Nothing.

Lisa: Well, why don't you go in your room and do nothin'.

[waves are Polly with puppet, and Polly runs to room crying]
