Namo Aquila the Great God

I believe in the existence of the highest principle or power, just like my buddy Thomas said, we know so many planets, why only the earth has intelligent creatures? It could be coincidence, it could be ignorance, it could be the arrangement of something.

There is so much we don't know compared to what we know. The problem is that, from the London of the first industrial revolution to Chernobyl, every progress we make has been accompanied by countless mistakes made out of ignorance. These mistakes are part of our progress in a way, but as our power grows, we make bigger mistakes,

And our ability to deal with errors has not improved much. A war with sticks and stones can kill people, and a war with nuclear bombs can lead to the demise of mankind. Humans have access to the power of God, but can humans harness this power?

Finally watched this masterpiece. There's even a problem with the play, but everything else is too perfect, and the imagination is full of imagination. The abandonment of the plot of the original comic book in the theatrical version is rewarding, and the time is compressed without letting the story completely collapse. When Tetsuo exerted his strength for the first time, the background sound "Ah! Ki! Ra!" was unforgettable. The way the dissolving lens cuts directly to the next shot is very artistic. The original sound of the bridge force can't get tired of listening to it, it's too powerful.

Although the human body itself has a certain potential, it is infinitely magnified and exaggerated by the Japanese, and this fantasy is integrated into their works!

Akira quotes

  • Colonel (2001 Pioneer dub): Will you return with us?

Tetsuo (2001 Pioneer dub): Like hell!

  • Colonel Shikishima: Look at what they abandoned in their panic, they were afraid! They were too scared, so they hid it away from the public. They forgot all shame and honor, cast off the civilization and science we had created, and shut the lid of the Pandora's Box they themselves had opened.
