A classic that has been on the list for a long time, I just turned it out today and made up for it. The first reaction was that the soundtrack was really too strong. I had goose bumps and my heart skipped a few times. Whether it’s fighting scenes or motorcycle racing scenes, the aesthetics of the ruins, human mechanics and cyberpunk future elements, as well as the story of the exploration of the limits of human power and the origin of the unknown universe, make people addicted. In 1988, the level of hand-made celluloid was more shocking than most animation works now! !
The story depicts the world after the third world war in 2019. After seeing a lot of human experiments, I can't help thinking that maybe there are many scientists in the world today who violate ethics and study the limits of human power. Maybe it's incredible that superpowers can exist in the future, but I still don't want war. Human desire is something more terrifying than power. I feel that in the whole story, k and dragons are just human-shaped chess pieces used by capitalists whose lives are irrelevant. It is too pitiful to die without knowing why. At the end, I don't quite understand why the negative awakening of Akira did not bring destructive power, but everything returned to 0 calm. Maybe the ending is irrelevant, the important thing is to construct such a world view and the characters drag racing and fighting scenes are very enjoyable to watch, haha.
It is also contradictory whether we should remain in awe in the face of the unknown, or whether we should explore uselessly.
