The little boy is more like the epitome of Mud. He is very persistent in love, but also to the point of being silly and naive. At the end, the two of them cut the mess at the same time. The growth process of the little male protagonist began when Mud broke into his life. The pain of growing up is always resonant with the slow understanding of the unfamiliar adult world. What a delicate film, Matthew McConaughey's performance is really powerful.
