What is incredible is that there is still a mobile phone. If I were an American, I would have called home to explain the situation and asked the US government to come forward.
The film does not mention why such a place appeared, nor what will happen to the last place in the future. I think it would be more valuable to get a Hostel II and describe how the origins and heroes fought against this underworld.
Perhaps it is a symbol of the dark side of human nature that cannot be shaken off?
