Photography and soundtrack make this film break through the shackles of Western films, with a poetic, mysterious and tragic tone. The performances are very good - especially the flirting scene with the romantic man and the lonely girl, the shootout in the snowy room, the passing confession of Peter's murder, the widow's house Jessy Peter facing the table, Peter's night fireplace scene, Peter's death scene (the facial expressions are very good, the three Human wrestling, fear, orgasm, lost shoes, poor daughter, grieving wife, and beautiful poetry) and Peter's posthumous scene (the group photo of the remains is an irony of all beings, Zoe is beautiful)
The flaw may be that the main line and the branch line are not divided. It feels like an exhausted western history. There are many unrelated plots in the first half, but I like it very much. The snowy shootout is reminiscent of Hitchcock. Chatting and flirting make the film more angry.
