The homeless Chaplin saved a drunk to recognize his rich friend. He also went to a boxing for the blind girl's $22 monthly rent. In the end, he lost. The local rich friend gave him $1,000, but he was robbed. After being knocked unconscious, the bandit forgot about it. Fortunately, Chaplin took some money to escape, and gave the money to the blind girl to pay rent for her eyes, but she was put in prison because of this. After Lin was released from prison, he met the girl who had his eyes healed. The girl finally recognized him, and the ending was happy.

The flower girl handed him flowers on the street corner and I burst into tears. Chaplin's grinning eyes pierced the heart. Subtle body language and touching tragicomic core, his eyes are the light in the steel forest of the city, we should believe that the birds will still sing tomorrow.

Compared with "Modern Times", I actually like this movie more, not to mention the classic boxing match clips, but also various references. In fact, it is like the completely different fine-point setting of the local tyrant who is drunk and sober, and the persistent love for the blind girl. I like it very much. In fact, this one is also slightly higher than "Modern Times" in terms of neighbor ratings. Of course, they are all masterpieces, and there is no need to compare them. Comedy master lives up to his reputation!
