Why do emperor penguins have to do the "collective tap dance" that attracts human attention to make humans reduce fishing? What about trees, flowers and plants, they can’t dance, so what can humans do with them at will? Humans give them a little fish when they look cute, right?
It is often said that ecocentrism is an extreme statement that fails to demonstrate the nobility of being a human being. Other creatures might not have philosophy, they might not have politics, they might not have technology, but so what? You can do whatever you want with humans, right? Darwinism's law of the jungle, hasn't it been spurned in the governance of human society? Why doesn't it make sense to switch to the entire ecosystem?
Today's environmental policy can only gain favor by relying on utilitarian packaging, the "sustainable development" category. Is this a successful strategy, or a wrong positioning? Is this strategy itself sustainable?
Was discussing with my German foreign teacher yesterday, she is an architect. We saw some workers pour cement onto the steel stairs, and then spread the rest on the ground to dry and dump it. She said that it was completely wrong. She promised to do it again next year. What a waste of materials!
She said she sometimes sees how people in China and the United States waste resources and energy, and she is very angry. She said that our country is only the size of a "small piece of shit", but we have taught our citizens to take a bath for no more than 10 minutes since childhood. We spend a lot of money to save energy and resources, but other countries waste it like this.
I reassured her that the free-rider phenomenon of global environmental governance is not the first day. At least you have set a good example in Europe. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, and it is always good to have the first step.
I also had the opportunity to participate in the "Antarctic Expedition", and three of my friends have been there. But I don't regret not going. It's not that I don't know the situation over there, and I can't observe more than scientists. I don't need to be a tourist who has seen it with my own eyes, and I can be motivated to do environmental protection work, so why is it so high carbon?
