The gap between tomorrow's world and today's world, today's world will be destroyed, tomorrow's world is a secret world, and only those who are selected can enter. Tomorrowland had no interest in today's world, but the purpose of building Tomorrowland at that time was to be optimistic and positive, and to make technology serve mankind. But the result is that the world of tomorrow is separated from the world of today, and the destruction of the earth is predicted, and warnings are issued but no one cares.
There are only two people left who still believe in human beings, one is the program robot of tomorrow's world, and the other is an old man full of technological fantasies. The two were led by an optimistic girl who stumbled. Although the final result was to destroy the time-space shuttle, to detect humans and issue warnings, the bigger solution is to select some people to lead humans and let the predictor give a better ending.
This movie involves the hidden world, the conflict and crossing of the two worlds, and the most exciting thing is when the Mayfair Tower is cracked, which is said to be the same for the pyramid one day. The miracle of mankind may contain a kind of secret in it.
It also involves the theme of the selected people and saving the destroyed earth, but the technological elements in it are not rich enough, and the people and things in the world of tomorrow have not been displayed at all.
The film also touches on the topic of human-machine love and the growth of teenagers. But the robot that wants to link the love for the earth with the love for the people is actually too weak.
The director didn’t show enough techno-optimism, nor was his critique of the human condition profound enough, especially how this future tech utopia interacts with the earth world of the past. This aspect is not shown!
Reminds me of The Matrix and Jupiter Ascending, both of which are similar, but better than this one
