Behind the scenes
"Star Silver Island" is the 42nd classic animated film released by Disney. Taken from the famous 18th century children's book writer, Robert Louis Stevenson (Robert Louis Stevenson) world masterpiece-"Treasure Island" (Treasure Island). However, unlike the original "Treasure Island", this "Star Silver Island" moves the entire story into the interstellar space full of fantasy.
The directors and screenplay adaptations are Disney veterans Ron Clement and John Mursk. The two have successfully cooperated many times and have jointly created numerous fine works. For example, "Aladdin" (Aladdin), "Hercules" (Hercules), "The Little Mermaid" (The Little Mermaid), etc., have been listed as the "20 most recommended children's films" many times.
What is rare in the dubbing work is that the protagonist of "Silver Island", Kim Hawkins, has two voice actors, one is actor Joseph Gordon Louvet, who is responsible for the dubbing of the dialogue part. The other is the lead singer of the famous rock band-Goo Goo Dolls, Jonny Riznik, who sings specifically for the role. Brian Murray, who just won the 2002 Tony Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Stage Play for "The Age of Passion", will be the first villain in the film-the half-man, half-machine one-legged thief Silwell Dubbing. British veteran actress Emma Thompson will be the voice of Captain Amelia in the film.
As for the film's soundtrack, James Newton Howard will be responsible for the soundtracks for films such as "Dinosaur" and "Atlantis: The Lost Empire."
