"Twelve King Kong"-Little Disappointment

The famous "Twelve King Kong" does not have a grand story. The 148-minute movie took 108 minutes to set up the foreplay. Although the climax of the last forty minutes seems reasonable, it loses the tension that the story should have.

From the perspective of modern thrillers, the sneak attack story told in "The Twelve King Kong" can no longer stand scrutiny. The rigorous Germans did not have strict guards or vigilant guards. "Liang Zajun" mixed in and turned upside down. The first two hours used to set the stage were not to show the characteristics of each character one by one, but more to shape the colonel played by Lee Malvern and Ernes, who had just passed away two days ago. The general played by Te Bognin is not enough to shape the background and character of other characters, and there is no detailed task interpretation in the training process. I believe that if you change to remake today, everyone will be in prison for the reasons and tasks. The three-dimensional display of these two links has improved a lot.

PS, DNA's blue-to-two-disc is well done, but in view of the quality of the film, I don't plan to watch the highlights.

PPS, there are people who think Charles Bronson is super like Josh Harnett in this film?

Hollywood war movies are still mostly pure. This is different from today's war movies where a beautiful female soldier always pops up from time to time. At that time, war movies were almost the world of pure men, which also created a group of tough guys who are especially suitable for rolling in such movies.

Two and a half hours passed in a flash, and the military parade and exercises were classic, with dark humor and hilarious satire. There must be cannon fodder for more than ten characters

The Dirty Dozen quotes

  • Major John Reisman: How come you speak German?

Joseph T. Wladislaw: My old man came from Silesia. He didn't speak German, he didn't dig coal. If he didn't dig coal, he didn't eat.

  • Major John Reisman: What do you think, Sergeant?

Sergeant Clyde Bowren: I think you'll do just fine, sir.

Major John Reisman: [emphatically] Don't give me that! I said what do you think?

Sergeant Clyde Bowren: I think the first chance one of those lovers gets, he's going to shoot the Major right in the head... sir.
