In the film world of the early 20th century, Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin used their own ridicule of small characters and perseverance in dreaming to create a classic comedy that moved the world for a hundred years.

"The General" is Keaton's only one in the IMDB high score list. This film fully reflects his multiple talents as a director and editor, and created a perfect Civil War triumph with his uncontrollable performance and plot. In "The General", Keaton plays a standard "short and poor", but he is small and ambitious, and he has always been eager to make a contribution to the war. So in the whole work, the two wonderful train battles back and forth and the constant little humor interspersed in it, let the audience see a wonderful one-man show, and finally he also became the person in his own mind.

The pinnacle of the comedian Keaton, a gem of the silent era. Timeless jokes, consummate audio-visual language, large-scale scene scheduling, and unremitting pursuit of love. The two train chase scenes are exciting and tense without being lengthy at all. The male protagonist is kind, honest, sincere, focused on the immediate matter, unaware of the danger. And the audience always loves and sympathizes with the Forrest Gump figure, applauding his worldly success.
