406a Beyond This Earthly Realm: Cheerfully weird

How to put it, the feeling of this episode is very retro, more like an episode in the first season of AT.

When AT first aired, there were a lot of such careless nonsense. The main tone of a story is cheerful and weird, and there may not be some hidden meaning in it. But as AT was booked for the four seasons, the production staff began to gradually try to tell the truth behind the story.

It's not that the quality of AT is declining, because the reasoning is not preaching, but as random as the theme of this animation. But it is not as pure and true as the first season.

406a is a typical episode with no central idea, for fun and fun.

[Fin accidentally touched a ceramic sheep during the adventure and was trapped in the spirit world by the magic above. Only Ice King can help him return to the main material plane] In

this episode, it is mentioned again:
1. Ice King’s The wizard's eye. Creatures in the spirit world cannot be perceived by ordinary people, but people with wizard eyes can see them. In the second season (season three?), this slogan was just a brief explanation, but the image of the creatures in the spirit world that Ice King saw was so strange and supernatural that it was impossible to tell at that time whether he could actually see it, or Insanity. But 406a proves that it is indeed not an illusion.

2. Finn’s blonde hair: It’s not easy to find a cartoon character with hair that really grows and changes in hairstyle. It can be seen that his hair is a lot longer than when it was exposed last time [312a]. Thanks to Ice King for taking off his white hat and providing benefits to the audience!

3. The weird creatures of the spirit world: I can only say...All the settings about the creatures of the spirit world make people want to take drugs, literally.

After reading a lot of reviews, everyone thinks that the highlight of this episode is the monologue that Ice King broke the fourth wall. Wizard is indeed a magical [nervous] profession/race.
