When AT first aired, there were a lot of such careless nonsense. The main tone of a story is cheerful and weird, and there may not be some hidden meaning in it. But as AT was booked for the four seasons, the production staff began to gradually try to tell the truth behind the story.
It's not that the quality of AT is declining, because the reasoning is not preaching, but as random as the theme of this animation. But it is not as pure and true as the first season.
406a is a typical episode with no central idea, for fun and fun.
