1. At the beginning of the film, Jude Law was on the return journey of the first customer who recovered the film. The first Chinese character "Highway Exit" appeared at the tunnel entrance;
2. Jude Law held a barbecue party at home, Da Hei one about a customer site for recycling, then hands wearing pink green aprons have a national character, the first is the "love";
3. Jude Law and a big black first joint action, while on board the recovery, the hull It says "Noble and Quiet";
4. After Qiu was driven out of the house by his wife, he went to the big black guy. The big black guy said: You came just right and the game is about to start. Do you remember the Chinese Chicken downstairs?
Yes, she will bring her friends up together ... Behind, I see a pair of mothers and daughters with oriental faces (the big flowers are closer to Southeast Asia or Thailand, and the Chinese seem not to have this style... .) After changing the knees for the female protagonist, I didn’t watch it... I
think of the call on the international community to boycott China’s organ transplantation and related scientific research papers published in The Lancet this year by two American professors. Can’t help but wonder if the director is also expressing such a point of view?
But in an interview report, director Miguel's answer to this matter was not what I thought.
DVD Talk: You have done a lot of work in representing the details of this fictional society. Among them, the appearance of Chinese symbols almost penetrates the entire movie. Do you want to imply that because our (U.S.) economy is too bad, and China will become our owner? Can you talk about why you chose to use these detailed hints instead of holding a world fair to educate the audience?
DVD Talk: You do a very good job at creating this world with very subtle details. Throughout the movie you see Chinese symbols everywhere, which I presume is a sign of how much worse our economy has gotten and that China practically owns us. Can you talk about adding those tiny details instead of hitting us over-the-head with exposition about the state of the world?
Miguel Sapochnik:: We have done a lot of preparations for this movie. During the three-year preparation period, I did a lot of design of images, drawings and concepts, and then started production with David Sandefur, the art director of the film. We discussed the plan in detail, 8 hours a day, for 3 consecutive weeks, almost all of these details were discussed. Many details are born in this process. The future direction of the world and inferring the future from the current situation is one of the things we think is very important.
Among them, it seems natural that China will have almost everything in the future. This is not an idea derived from "Blade Warrior", it's just simple (Blade Warrior has a relationship with him??). This is what has happened, we are just trying to prove it and see where it will go. The original idea was that the people in the movie do not speak English. We finally failed to do this because we made a studio movie (with subtitles...). So our final approach is to make the film Chinese. The architecture and design in the film are very Chinese. These details are very important, and I am glad you noticed them.
We did not intend to preach through this film, and the intention of this film is not to preach. Although we have portrayed the future and tried to be true to the facts, we never want the future to be as portrayed in the film. This movie shows a terrible world, but we don't think it will happen.
Miguel Sapochnik: There was a lot of preparation. We developed the movie for three years and in that time I put together a huge amount of imagery, drawings, and concept work. Then we started getting into the movie and I started working with the production designer David Sandefur. We talked literally for three weeks, everyday, and eight hours a day about absolutely everything. A lot of things evolved through that. One of the big things, for me, was where the world is going and extrapolating the future based on today's events. The idea that China will own almost everything seemed absolutely natural. It wasn't taking from Blade Runner, it just simply is. It's already happening and we were just trying to confront that and see where it would take us. One of the ideas there was that by the end of the film no one was speaking English.We couldn't do that since we were making a studio movie. So what we ended up doing was trying to turn it into China. The architecture, the designs, and everything was all very Chinese. Those details were very important and I'm glad you noticed them. We didn't want to preach. The whole idea of this movie was not to preach. While we are encapsulating the future and trying to stay true to reality, we weren't rooting into it. The film is ourselves Ultimately, while it's a terrible world, I don't think this is really what's going to happen in the future. I just think this is what we're capable of.m glad you noticed them. Well, let's finish reading it when you have time.
