Good food requires a good cook

Recently, I watched two films related to ancient Greek mythology, one is the "Pirates of God Fire", and the other is "The Battle of the Gods" which seemed to be quite popular a while ago. "Battle" is still a 3D version, but I watched it while lying in front of the computer, so I couldn't deeply feel the grand scene of the film's fire. At the current level of piracy I've watched these two films, the special effects of "Pirates of Fire" are better than those of "Clash of the Gods", although their plots are so weak.

Surprised to see Brosnan and Uma Thurman in this movie, one of them is a Medusa, it seems that the background of the movie is still a lot, and to be able to invite these big names to be the green leaves, it can be seen that the filmmakers are actually still Pretty ambitious to make this story an instant hit. It's a pity that the plot is too child-like, and I can only watch a popcorn movie set up by a lot of beautiful knives, and there is a butt of scolding behind it.

In fact, the theme of ancient Greek mythology is really not difficult to shoot well under the current CG technology so developed. It is not impossible to make a series and challenge "The Lord of the Rings". For example, the one that appeared in this movie The nine-headed monster Cerberus and Medusa are both very eye-catching monsters in Western mythology, at least several grades higher than the zombie army in "The Lord of the Rings". It's pretty exciting to think about the battle of the gods and monsters. If I knew it earlier, it would be better to invite Peter Jackson to direct this Percy Jackson. Maybe it will really be another classic.

Therefore, the birth of a good film, the skill of the director and screenwriter, is actually the most important.

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief quotes

  • Percy Jackson: Oh, I wish I could spend all day underwater instead of this place.

Grover: Right. It's like High School without the musical.

  • Medusa: [When she meets Annabeth & the Hysterical Woman] Well, *this* is a fabulous surprise.
