The film disappointed me as a whole. It wasted such vivid and magnificent special effects, while the magic and plot that I was most looking forward to seemed very thin or even unreasonable. In retrospect, what exactly is the film about? Is it the relationship between the souls formed by humans and animals, but there is no in-depth description and close-up of this relationship; is it to say that the little girl has saved people with wisdom and courage, but what is the purpose of the dark faction? What? Is it the story about the mysterious golden compass? I thought this compass was the highlight of the film. It could have many magical scenes, or reveal some great secrets, but it didn't seem to play a key role. It does not make people see the truth, but only sees the past; there is also the "dust" that it caused at the beginning, which is simply a vague existence.
A lot of the foreshadowing mentioned was finally gone. When I thought there was still a final battle, the film ended. And ten years later, there is no sequel, probably because the response is not very good, the sequel can't go on. The transition of the screen doesn't feel very comfortable to me, it's not very natural, and it's too jumpy.
In that parallel world, the human body and soul are separated, and the soul turns into an animal image to accompany him. What would my genie be, what would I hope to be? Is it a cute little cute pet that satisfies my girly heart, or a giant beast that is more eager to fill my sense of security. Those animals that represent the soul are actually the prototypes of their owners' hearts. Some are harmonious, while others are the opposite. They are very humorous. People can't look at their appearance. If in our world, everyone also has an animal spirit, then It is much more accurate to see what that animal is than to see the outside of that person.
Dakota in 1994 was only 12 years old when she starred in this play in 2006. Her age is in line with the character, but she looks very old-fashioned. Looking at her current photos, she can be believed if she is in her 30s or 40s.
