Adapted from Yan Geling's novel of the same name, it tells the story of the ideal and passionate military art troupe in the 1970s and 1980s. The helpful, simple, and kind-hearted Liu Feng (played by Huang Xuan) and He Xiaoping (played by Miao Miao), who came from the countryside and were repeatedly discriminated against and rejected by the female soldiers of the art troupe, "accidentally" left the romantic and comfortable art troupe and were involved in the cruelty.
