Stalkers and clubbing in East Berlin

The film is adapted from the graphic novel of the same name. The background is set in Berlin in 1989. Charlize Theron tells you the story of the three-faced spy of CIA, KGB and M16 through first-person dictation.

Of course, during the Cold War, when the Berlin Wall was about to fall, nothing was impossible. Thanks to McAvoy and the so-called nightlife in Berlin, in addition to the lineup and visual style, the narrative rhythm is very ineffective, and the action part and the spy battle part lack the crispness, and are interspersed. The emotional accumulation of the interrogation room dictation could not keep a high profile.

The lack of rhythm is absolutely fatal, no matter whether it is fast or slow, it is difficult to put the film into it. Blonde doesn't matter, does atomic just refer to nightclub style? Unbearable.

Aside from Theron's main line, McAvoy, the self-proclaimed king, and the chick who inexplicably fell in love with the blond Theron, are both uninteresting and fundamentally redundant characters that lack the necessary motivation.

At the text level, this story should still be quite ambitious. After all, a spy with multiple identities can easily come up with some reversals and so-called conspiracy behind it. The dialogue of the dark Chen Cang follows the rules that a spy must accumulate a lot of money, but there are too many broken pieces. The accusation of the lack of support for action and motivation seems to be just playing tricks to support the city. Maybe this is what the director David Leitch, who was born in Wudi, lacks, and has control over the overall rhythm and adaptation.

And even if there are only requirements for fighting scenes, this film also fails to meet expectations. In order to reflect the stylization of coffee and styling, it is really difficult for Theron to be not very agile. In contrast, the Bourne series makes good use of space and prop tactics, as well as clever editing skills to make the action components appear powerful.

The most unbearable thing is that in a fight scene in the theater, Tarkovsky's "Stalker" is being shown. Theron is thrown out of the curtain. The director is deliberately trying to smash the old man Tower's place, how dare you?
